Orchestra pit fillers are a flexible solution for theaters with a fixed height orchestra pit. SECOA pit fillers can be designed for fixed heights or variable heights depending upon support system needs allowing an even greater amount of flexibility

Pit fillers allow performers to close the gap between themselves and the audience to create intimacy and excitement. Because the pit filler is removable, the versatility of the performance venue is significantly enhanced.

A pit filler allows for extended stage space when up, orchestra space when down, or additional audience seating when at auditorium level. Our pit fillers are engineered to the space requirements of each installation from a straight stage extension, to a single radius or double radius pit fillers, single and double layer fillers we can manufacture a system to fit your venue. SECOA manufactures pit fillers in either our Stage 100 System, or our Stage 2000 system.

Stage Extensions

A SECOA stage extension is a great solution to extend your stage space. Stage extensions may be used to extend out over an orchestra pit, or used to extend a stage that does not have an orchestra pit. Also ideal for multi-use spaces like gyms, cafeterias, and meeting rooms with stages. Stage extensions can be designed to be extremely flexible and to allow multiple lengths of extension to match your stage use. A straight extension using 4’ x 8’ platforms can be configured to provide either a 4’ extension out from the stage or 8’ extension out from the stage depending upon the orientation of the platforms. Stage extensions can also be configured at heights equal to the stage height or below to create a natural step down from stage height. Stair units can be added to stage extension (non-pit extensions) to add accessibility to the stage from the audience for awards, presentations, and meetings. This is especially useful for stages without audience area stair access. For help configuring a stage extension to meet your requirements please call our staging department and SECOA will be happy to layout a system for you.
